This was a great interview. My husband and I are more "equal" than any other couple I know in terms of "caregiving" duties (as far as I can tell). For example, we have a schedule that allows us to split drop offs/pick ups, who makes dinner, etc. equally. We're able to do this because he's the head of his company; I'm not so sure we would have this flexibility otherwise.
I definitely find that schools default to calling or emailing mom (me) first, and it drives me nuts. My husband actively emails about lunches or appts, but they still default to me, even when his email/phone is placed first in forms. I find it v insulting to both of us.
