Jessica, I'm excited to listen to you on the podcast Thanks for sharing. As always, these are thought-provoking articles. I started a new job in April and am now in the office 2 days/week (after having been at a law firm that permitted WFH prior to the pandemic). Being back in the office intermittently has, surprisingly, brought me a lot of joy (I love dressing nicely, I like chatting with colleagues, I like singularly focusing on work for that day), but (1) I *hate* the idea of late afternoon / early evening commitments and my firm is always inviting us to these events (so the WSJ article was spot on for me), and (2) I really hope the next step for my company isn't "Back to the office every day." As you mention, those days at home involve not only saved commuting time, but also an opportunity to get a few things done around the home. And for the record, I have *never* watched Netlfix during the day (but one can dream....)

What a fun prompt! As an aside, my secret society at Yale made a time capsule our senior year where we each wrote down what we thought our life would be like at our 15-year reunion. Mine was actually pretty spot on (which actually made me wonder if I should have thought bigger or been more adventurous... honestly). I am surprised that I live in Denver. I grew up in Colorado, but never thought I'd move back because I couldn't wait to leave for college. It turns out that Colorado is a pretty great place, though!

What surprises me most about where I ended up in life (thus far) is that I ever graduated college, found a real career, own a home, and have built a stable, pretty damn good life. Basically all of it 😂
