Last week, I finished the book The Vacationers by Emma Staub (a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars, IMO). Without giving any context or spoilers, there was one line that really stuck out to me, “Maybe that was the answer to good parenting—pretending the first child was the second.”
So, this week’s discussion topic is for those of you with more than one kid. In what ways did you become a better parent the second/third/fourth time around?
For me, I became less anxious, gave myself more grace, and learned that the hours spent agonizing over which brand of baby swing to buy are truly better spent on something else ☺️
I’d love to hear your answer in the comments below!
