Love this, Jessica. I’m a highly sensitive person and I really resonate with this; I needed to read this for one of my kids, too. The “avoid shame” point is such a good one. Thanks for speaking up for kids who can’t (and don’t know how to) ask for someone to advocate for them ❤️
I taught early learners ages 1-5 for 13 years as a music specialist. I had several kids that sound and music was noise to them . For those they require special needs , but there is also the easy way of putting a generic acronym to a child and they become something else.
